The Gathering is a mobile ministry, designed, to teach, inspire and educate people who desire to be responsible for their Spirituality as they become Co-Creators through the renewing of their minds. What will happen at the Gathering? One will witness tenets of your usual Christian worship experiences, in a very laid back environment as we are SPIRIT LED, and welcoming of tbose from all walks of LIFE. WE are BIBLE base-recgonizing other spirtual and cuktural truths, for healing, peospertity and overall Spiritual Maturity, such as Prophesy, Exhortation, The Arts and Diverse Music Genres. Prophet Sheryl "Beloved" Jones-Dillard, M.Div, DD
Beloved is known as the " Master Motivator" with a passionate-caring, creative and charismatic trans-formative energy. As a prophet her accuracy, and gift of song expresses a current day message of hope and healing. Her academic career spans from the undergraduate to doctoral having attended of St. Augustine's University, Raleigh, NC, The ITC., Atlanta, GA and Ramah Bible School, Monroe, NC. As a Poet Laureate, Spoken-word recording artist, actress, author, lyricist and ordained licensed minister, her willingness toward ministry is endless. Beloved was selected in 2004 by National Network to End Domestic Violence by Director Lynn Rosenthal to share her story as a survivor and gift of song in Washington, DC. This honor allowed her to give voice to many silenced by abuse as well as lobby along side Maxine Waters and Vice President Joe Biden, Lupus, Cancer and along with two-term Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin co-chaired the Jason Hollis Haiti's Mission 5k Walk-run. She had lead roles in the following plays: Come Out of the Rain, Deception, Soul Christmas, and The Redemption Plan. Her industry appearances are the Matriarch, Green Leaf, The Quad, Hap and Leonard, Saints and Sinners, and major movies like Tyler Perry's Acronomy, Tupac Shukar ALL EYEZ ON ME, Netflix COME SUNDAY, The Story of Bishop Carlton Pearson, An Actor Prepares with British actor Jeremy Irons. Her original music was featured in Sun-dance and Black Film Festival for "Raising Sons Documentary", by Trudie and Kevin Lee. She is a former radio host of Woman to Woman WCLY 1550. A Poet Laureate for: African Cultural Center (Smithsonian), NC, Tennessee Black Caucus Annual Conference, Wilma Rudolph National Day Celebration. A freelance writer for Nashville Christian Magazine, South Fulton Magazine, and www.dcbasketball.com; she continues to enjoy the gift that saved her since 4th grade, her first love, writing.
Sheryl " Beloved" Jones-Dillard was the first African American Poet to be on the cover of The Tennessean, 1995. She landed a featur in cocoafab.com/speaking-truth-meet-spoken-word-artist-beloved-jones/Jul 16, 2015 --copies of her first book A Mothers Contribution are in the prestigious Vanderbilt University library. She has never forgotten her own story and continues her passion for children as a at-risk youth mentor. She recently made history as the Chief Executive Assistant to the first Black Mayor of Douglasville, GA--Rochelle Robinson, "It was a honor to serve." Never tiring Beloved currently champions Mothers4Sons.weebly.com a nationwide support initiative for primary care giver of persons incarcerated. As the founder of The Gathering of Atlanta, --with nearly 30 years of being called- as an Associate and Youth pastor, church plants, commissioned leaders, conducted life changing revivals up to six straight weeks, seminars, conferences, and completed missions in Haiti. And recently returned from her tour in Germany, Niagara Falls, Canada and Columbia University with Aubi Odun of the, First Poets of New York City, the goal is to complete ALL Assignments
She is available for conferences, workshops, focus groups, and partnerships. Beloved believes she is Image of God and practices the IAM theory of being and doing. She is known as a living testimony to the faithfulness of God and the human spirit!
